Black Shiva Lingham from the Narmada River, India.
These stones have been sacred in Hindu culture for thousands of years, and are traditionally used in temples and altars. Only certain families are allowed to harvest the stones from the river once a year when the water is low. They are a micro-crystalline form of quartz, and vibrate as such. It has been speculated that a meteorite may have impregnated the river bed approximately 14 million years ago, and helped to create these special stones. They are also known as cosmic eggs due to their shape and vibration.
Crystal measures approx. 3.5cm x 1.7cm.
